Tax Compliance:
- Support in Corporate tax and Transfer Pricing compliances of group entities in APAC.
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of: Audits required under the local Laws and coordination with the Auditors; Preparation of tax computation and Income tax Return filings; Preparation of Advance Tax workings and payment of taxes; Filing of withholding tax returns.
- Filings of forms for claiming deductions and tax credits under the local Income-tax Laws.
- Transaction analysis for identifying WHT and tax implications.
Tax Accounting:
- Assistance and support in tax related work during Annual Accounts Finalization including liasioning with statutory auditors for tax accounts / disclosure in Financials. Correct accounting & reporting of tax charges including assets / liabilities in the Financial Statements, Tax GL Reconciliations, preparation of draft tax computation and deferred tax working including Deferred Tax Accounting, Effective Tax Rate Reconciliation.
- Collaborate with inter-department & intra-department for completion of tax provisioning, obtaining information, etc.
Tax Assessments & Litigations:
- Handling tax assessments including litigation matters in coordination with internal & external stakeholders – preparation / data collation for timely response to various notices, manage & maintain company’s tax data base, keeping track of changes in tax laws.
- Preparation/updation of year wise tax assessment status.
Other miscellaneous work:
- Monthly/Quarterly reconciliation of Tax accounts.
- Preparation of cash tax forecast.
- Preparing Forms for group entities for claiming beneficial withholding tax rates.
- Response to the tax queries raised by internal departments of the Company.
- Any other tax related assistance as may be required from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years’ work experience in the direct tax domain.
- Candidate should have sound knowledge of accounting.
- Candidate should have good presentation and communication skills.
- Candidate should be well conversant with usage of MS office applications and Oracle.
