Job Description – Microchip Jobs Recruitment

A candidate placed in this position will be an individual contributor in USB and Networking Validation Team, focused on bringing advanced connectivity devices to market including Ethernet PHYs and Switches, USB 3.2 hubs, USB Power Delivery, and other connectivity interfaces upto 25Gbps.

Job Requirements:
- Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and must be a good team player.
- Good working knowledge of Electronics Lab equipment, e.g., Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer, Traffic generator
- Must be self-motivated and able to work in collaborative group in lab environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop validation and test plan documentation based on datasheets
- Specify and design test environments including Software requirements, Lab Equipment requirements, Test board designs,
- Perform lab-based post-silicon validation data collection, analysis and document results.
- Work in the lab to replicate customer issues
Desired Skills/Knowledge For Microchip Jobs Recruitment:
- Familiarity to one or more of the following protocols: USB (USB3.0, USB2.0), USB Power Delivery, L2/L3 Ethernet, TSN, PROFINET, OPC-UA and AUTOSAR
- Good working experience on high speed ethernet interfaces for (10M/100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10G/25G) speed.
- Prior experience in Hardware Development (Schematic Design, PCB prototyping)
- Good understanding of SignaI and Power Integrity issues in a PCB/ICs.
- Solid working experience of scripting language e.g. Perl, TCL/TK, Python
- Working knowledge in C/C++ and HDL e.g. VHDL/Verilog
- Strong background in HW validation testing aspects functional/performance/system/compliance/characterization of industrial and automotive ethernet and USB.
- Experience in developing functional or system level testcases and test plan creation.
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
- Working with global teams is a plus.
