Icertis is looking for DevOps engineer to automate their Cloud Operation tasks. which includes but not limited to daily build and deployment support, provisioning Infra for daily or frequently occurring activities.
This is a technical, hands-on Infra development and management role requiring Infra administration experience with excellent verbal and written communications skills. Selected candidate will work in a collaborative environment across Development and Operations stakeholders. Candidate will focus on building, maintaining the infrastructure and provide continuous improvement in existing infrastructure. Which will help simplify and streamline the DevOps processes to introduce or enhance automation and provide continuous improvement to existing processes and capabilities.
The Software Engineer is responsible for the foundational underpinnings of the solutions across all environments, producing specifications for product teams to establish and maintain environments, configurations for all supporting software, deployment, and technical support for product development groups including product managers, developers, architects, QA engineers and end users.
Primary Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Implement and manage continuous code build and deployment with TFS and other tools
- Implement and manage monitoring and analysis tools
- Optimizes and troubleshoots software and supporting services for speed and most efficient use of resources
- Manage DEV, QA, and staging environments, and works with product managers, developers, architects, QA engineers, and other staff to tune those environments during the development process.
- Serves as key link between software development teams, CloudOps & IT teams, particularly regarding continuous integration and deployment goals
- Builds and utilizes automation tools with respect to the release management process
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and run virtual teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions for customers and prospects
- Ability to guide other DevOps on new infra technologies
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
- Good to have exposure to access controls, backups and firewalls
Professional Requirements
- 3 – 5 years’ experienced DevOps engineer with at least 2+ years of System Administration
- System automation, scripting and deployment tools like shell scripting and Power shell
Experience troubleshooting and resolving application and system related issues on Onprem and Azure environments - Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Technologies
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
- TFS/Azure DevOps/GitHub and infra administration
- Strong target orientation and project execution skills
- Experience in client / stakeholder relationship management will be a bonus
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to support Development Tool chain to support CI/CD model
- Experience with databases, networks and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Should possess strong professional expertise
- System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft and VMWare
- Good to have exposure on Linux, Azure or other cloud platforms
Technical Competency
- Development and integration of DevOps related tool chain across Operations and Development organizations like TFS, Azure DevOps Service, ARM Templates, Visual Studio, GitHub and Data protection & privacy knowledge.
- System automation, scripting – Powershell and deployment tools (Azure DevOps Service, TFS etc.)
- Process orientation knowledge
- System Interaction/interfaces experience
- Must have familiarity with Windows (IIS) and nice to have Linux based operating systems
- Understanding of networking, replication principles, and Operating Systems
1+ years of experience with requirement management tool like TFS - Experience to implement industry best practices like Virtualization, Azure Infra, Infra Automation etc.
- Must have experience in any cloud base infrastructure like Azure platform and nice to have exposure on AWS or Open Shift with fundamental cloud knowledge.
- Exposure to continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous quality
- Exposure on Agile (Scrum/ Kanban) Methodologies
- Exposure on containerization for deployments using tools like Dockers and Kubernetes
