Job Description:
- Sound knowledge of managing Oracle RAC DBs on linux.
- Sound knowledge of managing logical and physical backup and recovery of Oracle DBs.
- Hands on experience of installation, setup and configuration of GG unidirectional replication will be highly preferred.
- A good understanding of the AWR and ability to resolve performance issues by identifying the performance bottlenecks.
- A good hold on sql, plsql and Unix shell scripting will be preferred.
- A good working knowledge of the SPA RAT feature will be preferred.
- Inspire and motivate the teams and set high standards.
- Innovating and introducing newer ways of working.
- Automation and removing toil wherever possible.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a highly complex situation and present ideas and thoughts that help faster remediation.
- Managing the security standards laid down by BT and effectively adhering to it.
- Understanding the tools and utilities of proactively monitoring and reporting of database health and performance.
- Understanding of cloud capabilities with OCI and GCP will be highly preferred.
- Managing the availability and reliability of our systems by adopting safe and secure standards.
- Ability to effectively lead the team of specialist dev and application DBAs.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to meet the project objectives.
- Sound troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of HAAS(hadoop) containers, instances will be an added advantage.
- Experience of managing large Oracle databases in Siebel env will be an added advantage.
