Role description: A data product manager delves deeper into big data, using algorithms and statistics to produce a final product and then analyze the data produced by the product. Large scale companies deploy an entire data pipeline to record the analytics data of user behavior, move the data (Kafka, Solace etc.), store the data (Redshift, S3, MongoDB), perform computation on the cluster using ML (Spark etc.), and finally play with the data to make business decisions through UI (Tableau, Looker). Product management is about taking business requirements and converting it into actual product. If you look at the pipeline mentioned above, data engineers are good at coding, data scientists are good at statistics and algorithms. A data product manager is a person that understands the business requirements, knows what to look for in the data based on the business goals, and translates it to data scientist and data engineers.

Work with data science and data engineers to develop simulators
Analyse and interpret model results and present it to stakeholders
Data Science formulation of complex business problems
Be hands on to use statistical software’s and big data querying tools for developing solutions to business problems
Architect and build scalable pipelines for data analysis and transformation
Design & Enhance platforms as consumable data services
Come up with efficient, modular and scalable solutions for business and technical problems. Architect and build near real-time (low latency) infrastructure for segmentation, personalized recommendations, reporting etc.
Leading big data projects successfully from scratch by using agile development techniques
Solve problems in robust and creative ways and demonstrate solid verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Innovate and design use cases that can be generated from huge amount of data volume daily Telecom/Digital/Network platform.
Designing granular level of customer attributes by understanding Telecom data.
Demonstrate a basic level of understanding of the full technology stack and understand how your product interacts with all areas of the business
