What you’ll be doing…

  • Conduct requirement gathering, wireframe walkthrough, task break down, estimation, coding, writing unit tests and release production.
  • Translate designs (UX) into pixel-perfect UI.
  • Follow and improve process including code review.
  • Write reusable code and libraries and optimize existing code for better performance.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to write testable, reliable code, continuously deploying to production systems.
  • Keep our product awesome by enhancing and contributing to upstream react, react-native, react-native-windows, redux, flow, eslint, codepush, and other open source dependencies.
  • Maintain a tight feedback loop for developers and internal users by doing test-driven development at the unit- and acceptance-test level for fast feedback both in local development environments, in our cloud CI providers, and our internal continuous deployment.
  • Continuously teach, learn, and strive for a generalized skill set with collaborative design and programming.
  • Host/attend local meet ups, participate in relevant conferences, and be active in relevant chat, email, and other channels.

In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in designing, implementing and deploying large scalable web services.
  • Experience in ES6/HTML5/CSS3 and Javascript based Front-End’s such as React/Redux, Webpack
  • Knowledge of OOPS and Design patterns.
  • Knowledge of front-end architectures.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and common RESTful design patterns.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Experience with Real time communication via webrtc.
  • Experience with Browser extensions for Chrome or Firefox.
  • Experience working on security paradigms.
  • Experience in deployment on Amazon or Azure.
  • Experience in setup of Monitoring/Alert/Analytics systems to track health of services in real-time.
  • Contributions to open source projects.
  • Knowledge of existing ecosystem, Implement features, functions, and enhancements.
