Job Description:

Role & responsibilities

• Perform ASC 606 revenue accounting, including preparation and processing of manual journal entries (MJEs) for revenue, accruals, provisions, and reclassifications.
• Execute and review the revenue allocation process, including deal reviews, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 requirements.
• Prepare, review, and explain Balance Sheet reconciliations, supported by substantiated subledgers, roll-forwards, and waterfall/amortization schedules.
• Conduct Balance Sheet reviews and variance analyses (QoQ and YoY), providing clear explanations and documentation.
• Support SOX compliance by performing and evidencing relevant controls related to revenue and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and support footnote disclosures and statutory reporting requirements with a high degree of accuracy and diligence.
• Administer and review Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss accounts as part of period-end close activities.
• Develop, automate, and enhance manual reports to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control.
• Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for revenue accounting and close processes.
• Prepare consolidated financial reports in line with statutory requirements and internal accuracy standards.
• Apply strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and logical judgment to drive issues to closure independently.
• Demonstrate strong Excel and communication skills to analyze data, document workings, and communicate outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
• Work effectively as an Individual Contributor, managing responsibilities independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• B. Com / MBA Finance / Semi-Qualified (CA-Inter) or equivalent with a concentration in accounting.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in the RTR domain& Revenue accounting
• Experience in Revenue Accounting preferable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret business practices and technical procedures.
• Exposure to SAP and Blackline is considered an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and resolution skills.
• Ability to present information effectively to all levels of the organization.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
