Job Description:
The System Engineer Digital Cockpit is responsible for supporting the definition, integration, and validation of invehicle digital cockpit features across automotive vehicle programmes. Working under senior system architects and technical leads, the role focuses on translating vehicle and feature requirements into robust system specifications and ensuring successful feature delivery across infotainment, cluster, and HMI domains
Experience Required
- 4+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering, electronics, or infotainment domains
- Exposure to digital cockpit or HMI-related vehicle features
- Experience working in OEM or Tier1 environments is desirable
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Systems engineering fundamentals and structured problem-solving
- Automotive networks: CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet
- Basic diagnostics concepts: UDS, DoIP
- Requirements management and traceability
- Exposure to MBSE concepts and system modelling
- Understanding of infotainment and cockpit architectures
- Agile delivery practices and task tracking

- JAMA, DOORS (Requirements Management)
- JIRA, Confluence (Task and documentation management)
- Diagnostic and test tools (OEM / supplier specific)

Key Objectives
- Support delivery of highquality digital cockpit vehicle features aligned with product and UX expectations
- Ensure system requirements are correctly defined, traceable, and verifiable
- Enable smooth integration between software, hardware, UX/UI, and supplier systems
Key Responsibilities
- Support elicitation and documentation of system and feature requirements for digital cockpit functions using JAMA / DOORS.
- Decompose vehiclelevel and user requirements into clear, testable system requirements under guidance of senior engineers.
- Contribute to definition of system architectures covering infotainment head units, instrument clusters, HUDs, and HMI components.
- Create and maintain system specifications, feature descriptions, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- Support integration of thirdparty solutions such as navigation engines, voice assistants, media services, and smartphone projection.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI teams to ensure feature behaviour aligns with safety and usability principles.
- Assist in definition of validation strategies, test cases, and acceptance criteria for digital cockpit features.
- Support vehicle, bench, and rig testing activities including issue investigation and root-cause analysis.
- Track defects, actions, and requirements traceability using JIRA and related lifecycle management tools.
- Interface with internal teams and suppliers to support technical issue resolution and change implementation.
- Ensure system designs align with functional safety, cybersecurity, and software update requirements.
