Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Backoffice RAN Engineer with deep expertise in Ericsson 2G/LTE/5G NSA & SA technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end tasks related to all technology 2G/4G/5G and other emerging technologies in Managed Services Operations. This role requires a strong understanding of the latest mobile network architecture, call flows, end to end troubleshooting, handling VIP complaints, stakeholder management and the ability to drive and support technology tasks and deliveries effectively.

What you will do:

• Manage operational issues from a process and tools perspective for 2G/4G/5G and new technologies.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution of daily operational issues within the RAN network including KPI degradations.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and other operational improvements in Managed Services Operations.
• Support the development of automation initiatives for operations.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IP, MPBN, TX, and CORE, to resolve network-related issues.
• Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information-sharing processes.
• Coordinate with the Support team to resolve cases and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Flexibility to work in 24/7 planned shifts, including night shifts.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Prepare, collect, and validate scripts and configurations, ensuring accuracy before execution in support of planned activities.

The skills you bring:

• 2-8 years hands-on experience in RAN network operations and monitoring
• Telecommunications knowledge e.g. GSM, WCDMA, LTE technologies.
• Should possess knowledge of RAN 2G/3G/4G/5G Network KPIs and able to promptly analyze, report and resolve issues.
• General understanding call flows, channel concepts.
• Familiarity with RAN network elements: System Module, Radio module, BTS / Node-B / eNodeB / gNodeB, etc.
• Use of OSS/NMS tools (for example vendor tools like Nokia NetAct, Ericsson ENM, Huawei U2000) for monitoring and support.
• Ability to monitor alarms/outages and detect degradations or service issues in real time.
  Basic knowledge of RAN KPIs / counters: e.g. RRC, ERAB, handover (HO), PRB/Resource, SINR/CQI etc.
• Basic troubleshooting: when eNodeB/NodeB/BTS shows an alarm or issue ability to assist in first-level analysis, log checking, and escalate if needed.
• Documentation & reporting: maintain logs for alarms/outages/config changes; prepare periodic network performance reports.
• Coordination with field teams or senior engineers for escalations or on-site fixes; ability to work in shifts / under supervision.
