1. POST: – SR.ASST.ENGINEER (E – I Grade) (on Fixed Tenure basis for 5 years)
POSTING: Kavaratti &Portblair
NO. OF POSTS: 2 (1-OBC, 1-SC Category)
PERIOD:-On short term basis for 5 years may be extended to 10 years based on
requirement/performance.
AGE: Upper age limit :50 years as on 01.09.2020 (Relaxable in case of SC/ST/
OBC/PWD as per Govt. guidelines & also the upper age limit may be relaxed in
case of deserving candidates /experienced candidates at the discretion of
Management).
QUALIFICATION :
Ex-servicemen retired/serving officers retiring shortly from Army/ Air Force/ Navy
personnel with 3 years Diploma in Engineering or equivalent in Electronics/Electronics & Communication / Tele Communication/ Electrical discipline in the rank of JCO or equivalent having 15 years & above post qualification (Professional) experience. First class for General & OBC candidates and Pass class for SC/ST candidates.

EXPERIENCE :
15 years or more relevant post qualification experience in working with Defence
Electronic Equipment during their tenure in Defence Service. Candidates with
experience in having worked in NSRY (Port Blair) or with BEL Equipment will
be given preference.

QUALIFICATION :

in Engineering or equivalent in Electronics& Communication/ Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/Electrical/Electrical& Electronics. First class for General & OBC candidates and Pass class for SC/ST candidates.

EXPERIENCE :
Navy personnel retired/retiring shortly having 15 years or more relevant post
qualification experience in the rank of JCO or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 12
years of experience in handling Weapon Systems / Electronics Systems / SONARs/
Communication Systems on-board Ships / Submarines / Dock Yard Work experience on board submarines will be an added advantage

JOB DESCRIPTION :
Technical Support towards installation & commissioning of BEL supplied equipment
on-board ships & submarines including participation in on-board trials

SELECTION: – The selection will be through a written test & interview

OTHER INSTRUCTIONS :
AGE RELAXATION: SC/ST-5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years. For candidates belonging to Persons with Disability (PWD) category having minimum 40% disability will get 5 (five) years relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to SC/ST/OBC mentioned above.
The Cutoff date for deciding the maximum permissible age and experience (Post
Qualification Experience) shall be 01.09.2020. In order to compute post qualification work
experience , the period of work experience starting from the month immediately
succeeding the month of final examination in which candidate acquire the essential
educational qualification shall be considered.

1. Self attested copy of SSLC/Matriculation Certificate (proof of age).
2. Self attested copies of Marks cards for having passed all semesters / years of Diploma or equivalent examination as applicable, BE or B.Tech or equivalent as applicable.
3. Certificate from the previous employer regarding relevant post qualification experience.
4. Caste / Tribe Certificate (if applicable) and other relevant certificates.
5. Discharge Certificate / Summary from Defence forces, if applicable. In addition to basic pay , other allowances like Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, 35% of the annual basic pay as perquisites , Performance Related Pay(PRP), Group Life Insurance, Medical Reimbursement , Provident Fund, Gratuity and pension as per Company’s rules will be part of remuneration package.
