Responsibilities:
- Enginuity CATIAV5, V6, UG, PRO-E, or other 3D design software expertise.
- Experience in various material used in BIW like Steel, Al their challenges and limitations.
- Well versed with automotive Design for BIW components.
- Experience in product design & development of plastic parts, Sheet Metal and Stamping/BIW/Closer.
- Experience in DFMEA, DVP, DFA, DFM.
- Well versed with automotive Design for Interior and Exterior component.
- Experience on projects with European clients is essential.
- Performs job functions with the use of computer aided design (CAD) equipment, Team centre, Digi buck and software .
- Generate concepts CAD layout & support the integration team in Design reviews and virtual build events.
- Verify CAD model against design guidelines & optimise design to cost & weight targets.
- Ability to interact & work with Cross-Functional Teams and Global Engineers.
- Participate in design evaluations and offer input to improve manufacturing procedures.
- Examines manufacturing simplicity, materials, tools, interchangeability, and replicability.
- Lead completion of PE owned APQP deliverables and support delivery of Phased PPAP for owned components on time.
- Lead cross-functional module teams and supplier reviews to tackle implementation barriers.
- Support manufacturing during introduction of updates in pre-production builds.
- Good in Sheet metal, Plastics design and Developments.
