We are looking for bright and passionate BIW Design Engineers with experience in:
- BIW Integration, Body Structure, Body Exterior and Vehicle Structures (Vehicle/System design Specifications, Modelling).
- Project management of BIW updates on model year programmes.
- Ensuring timely releases for virtual series and production, Vehicle Milestones.
- Knowledge on material selection like Steel to Aluminium other materials in all aspects.
- Experience of Sheet Metal and Stamping/BIW/Closer.
- Lead PE-owned APQP deliverables and Phased PPAP for owned components.
- Lead design progression in line with the programme timescales & deliverable cadence.
- Development of indirect (primary) and direct Commodity plans relating to source identification/selection, total cost reductions, supplier performance criteria, cost model structures, and supplier quality.
- Support manufacturing during introduction of updates in pre-production builds & Vehicle Milestones.
- Manage component cost, weight and deliver to agreed programme targets.
- Verify risk prevention and detection controls with the testing and validation team.
- Lead cross-functional module teams and supplier reviews to tackle implementation barriers.
- Support manufacturing during introduction of updates in pre-production builds.
- Experience in DFMEA, DVP, DFA, DFM.
- Project management tools MS Project Planner.
- Automotive-design experience, Good problem-solving and analytical skills using 8D, 5Y
- Analysis, Fishbone diagaram.
