About the role
This is a full time Product Owner role for ANZ’s Microsoft 365 platform. We run a platform-as-a service model, you will run the core M365 platform and collaborate with other stakeholders and customers that own and operate M365 workloads like Teams, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online.
In this role you will:
- Enable and inspire a multi-disciplinary team (‘Squad’) to pursue its mission, by guiding them on ‘what ‘work should be completed by the squad.
- Constantly prioritise tasks and the squad’s backlog with the customer at the heart of their decision making.
- Ensure that the work is strategically aligned to the tribe mission, and engage with other Product Owners to align and manage interdependencies.
- Whilst this role is not a people manager, it is a key leadership role, galvanising the squad around a vision and supporting them to successfully deliver customer value at pace.
- Achieve the squad mission by motivating the team members and consistently thriving by maintaining a positive environment in the squad.
What will your day look like:
Product owners have a wide variety of responsibilities, every day will be different! Your day might consist of:
- Customer engagement – connecting and collaborating with customers; planning work to delivery to their needs
- Strategy & planning – reviewing and updating roadmaps, defining and prioritising epics, grooming the backlog
- Delivery Enablement – enabling the squad to deliver planned work, identifying and removing blockers, managing risks
- Vendor engagement & management

Mandatory skills (Essential Skills)
- Agile planning and delivery/project management, ideally based on SAFE
- Strong Microsoft 365 Platform Expertise – you will have good technical skills in the platform and a desire to keep your tools sharp
- Security, controls, and cloud governance expertise
- Good working knowledge of IT service management and risk management.
Desired Skills (Optional Skills)
- An understanding of the key workloads in the M365 platform, Exchange, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Power Apps / Power Automate, and M365 Security
- Adept in using Jira & Confluence
- Awareness of budgeting and tech area finance
