DESCRIPTION for Amazon Job
A Manager Operations in EU RS and Capacity Management team is expected to execute operations and manage programs/projects.
Operations Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
Operational Performance – Track operational metrics on a day to day basis, maintain SLs and perform audits and deep dives and present monthly and quarterly results to senior leadership
Shift Management – Work with Labor planning to design Shift schedules, driving timesheet compliance and managing OT’s to handle day-to-day operations
People Management – Tracking 1:1s with associates, monitoring coaching programs, managing team huddles, handling escalations, hiring and developing associates/supervisors/managers and supervising training
Communicate standard work changes and drive compliance
Executes vision and goals for AF team
Works with upstream and downstream (FC teams, Carrier teams, Scheduling, Planning and Audit teams) to influence and execute goals defined
Owns, tracks or escalates issues in the network to ensure that they are addressed, documented and resolved
Determines corrective actions internally and externally
Program Management Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
Identifies improvement opportunities and gaps in existing process and works with key stakeholders to execute/resolve them
Identify new processes to transition to HYD, work with talent acquisition to hire associates and coordinate their training with EU stakeholders
Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
4+ years of applicable professional experience required
Strong analytical, technical, organizational and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and execute many complex tasks simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
Demonstrated experience of managing large teams to drive operational rigor
Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement
A self-starter who loves data and who enjoys spotting the trends in it!
