You’ll spend time on the following:

  • You will take ownership of the technical aspects of implementing our business requirements, ensuring that the platform is being used to its fullest potential through designing and building applications around our customer’s needs.
  • Designing back-end services, modern batch and real-time data pipelines accessing large datasets using cutting-edge big data technologies in AWS and GCP cloud infrastructure. You will review and monitor current engineering work, as well as previously constructed applications, to ensure the software is running as smoothly as possible.
  • Migrate on-premise applications to AWS cloud leveraging technologies such as Terraform, AWS S3, EC2, MSK, Lambda, API Gateway etc.
  • Migrate on-premise data applications & pipelines to GCP cloud leveraging technologies such as Terraform, GCS, DataProc, Google Composer etc.
  • Work directly with our internal product teams to ensure that our technology infrastructure is seamlessly and effectively integrated with our third-party software, conceive, and build the necessary applications to make this happen.
  • Provide on-call support for platform-related issues where applicable.
  • Work with international teams for global standards, accomplish engineering and organization mission by accomplishing OKRs as needed.

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 4+ years track record of relevant work experience and computer science or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Strong experience in programming languages (Scala/Java/Python) and competent in designing and building enterprise-scale applications, common frameworks, etc.
  • Hands-on coder with a good understanding of enterprise-level code.
  • Proficient in Unix, SQL DB, NoSQL DB, Microservices, REST APIs, etc.
  • Highly knowledgeable in building data pipelines using Hadoop Ecosystem such as HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Spark, Hive, HBase, Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, etc.
  • Prior AWS & GCP cloud development experience and certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of software best practices, like Test-driven Development (TDD), and Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI-CD), Terraform based Infrastructure As Code (IAC), Wavefront, ELK, Splunk, Experience working with e-commerce and agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
