Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Proactively monitoring the Windows Client fleet using various metrics and tools that help assess overall application/device health and performance.
• Analyzing the performance of a user’s end-to-end workflow across multiple devices, networks, clouds, and applications with the goal of improving business productivity.
• Support process reengineering efforts for operational delivery, may assist in technical standards development and architecture development.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Deliver high quality service to customers by solving complex technical problems and helping to proactively prevent new issues.
• Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues by working with resources from other groups
• Maintaining a secure stable and up to date configuration for client devices (primarily Windows notebooks and desktops).
• Evaluation and implementation of new capabilities on Intel Systems with particular emphasis on Microsoft Windows.
• Definition of requirements and design for technical solutions based on the strategic direction of the organization
• Partnership with other Intel Teams and with external 3rd Party vendors

Qualifications:

• Experience with evaluating and implementation of various Client health and performance monitoring tools to monitor app and device performance, track user experience, helping improve business processes.
• Experience working with various performance benchmarking tools (PCMark, Geekbench etc)
• Experience working with various end user experience monitoring tools (eg: Aternity)
• Experience working with Windows Event forwarding to understand various Windows events.
• Thorough understanding of Windows internals and troubleshooting of applications/device installation/behavior.
• Understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, and group policies.
• Working knowledge of standard client platform administration, configuration, rights management and file access.
• Experience using databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or MSSQL.
• Ability to create reports from data sets (PowerBi).
• Knowledge of the Windows registry, interaction of drivers within the OS, and unattended/silent installs of Windows operating systems.
• Experience deploying / supporting Windows devices with scripting and other automation methods for the installation of software / hardware (Python, Perl or similar programming language).
• The ability to communicate with all levels of staff, verbally and in writing.
• A customer focused attitude is required.
• Effectively plan and collaborate with others.
• Present ideas and new designs to senior technical personnel / management.
• Thrive in a very fast paced environment.
• Must be able to set realistic deliverable dates for your work, and consistently deliver high quality work on time or early.
• Microsoft Azure/M365 certification and Windows experience particularly advantageous
