Job Description:

Design, launch and scale new and existing strategic campaigns of all sizes around online safety and wellbeing in collaboration with key external partners and internal expert teams.
Analyze trends and learnings to support development of a country strategy around implementation of safety policy programs.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with NGOs, advocacy groups, academics and policy makers on online safety and wellbeing, so as to cultivate expert resources and third-party advocates needed by public policy, programs, comms, and other teams throughout Facebook and to identify areas for improvement of Facebook safety efforts.
Identify strategic opportunities for external presentations to influencer audiences.
Present capably Facebook’s safety efforts to external audiences including senior government.
Support the creation of communications, educational and marketing materials for external audiences.
Work closely with key internal teams including public policy, content policy, safety policy, communications, partnerships, marketing, to support improvement to safety for users in India and advance public knowledge and understanding of Facebook’s safety efforts.
Manage and support regular communication of policy program team strategy and achievements to internal stakeholders.
Create and improve team knowledge management and communication systems including stakeholder mapping, documenting country specific safety policy assessments (collating risks, legislation and engagement plans), creating and updating trackers of collateral and programmatic offerings.
Work in partnership with global programs team on the strategy for building relationships with policy makers, civil society and academics.
Work with political bodies, policymakers and non-governmental organizations on technology policy issues.
Minimum Qualifications
9+ years of professional experience in developing and executing successful high-profile technology, corporate, NGO, or policy campaign efforts in India.
Degree in policy, law, marketing, business, communications or a relevant safety or other related discipline preferred.
Experience in online safety issues in India including understanding of applicable regulatory regimes and policy landscape.
Experience in project management, prioritizing across multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment to identify creative solutions within tight timelines, while maintaining productive cross-functional relationships.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills including acting as a public spokesperson at events and with government representatives.
Experience working with all levels of seniority, both internally and externally.
